Gainesville, FL has some wonderful organizations to assist pregnant women, but no place for temporary housing specifically for young women who find themselves with little or no support who might otherwise opt for abortion or to drop out of school.
Gianna’s Place maternity home will exist to promote the sanctity of life by providing a peer supportive Christian-based maternity residence for single student women 18 years or older facing an unexpected pregnancy, but choose life for their child either by keeping their child or placing them for adoption.
Gianna’s Place will invest in fostering family values, life skills and the completion of career and educational goals by utilizing established resources/services in the community to empower each woman to achieve her God-given potential.
